Help!!!

I have a 88 s10 blazer 4x4 2.8 liter. I had the steering column apart replacing the wiper switch, ignition switch, and the steering column bearings. Put it all back together and now the truck runs like crap. Says the charging system is only putting out 8.48 volts, had the alternator and battery tested, both are good. Any ideas, this is my daily driver, im kinda stuck here, all fuses that i checked have juice, is there something I may have disconnected, while under the dash?????

oh and i have no warning lights on the dash either, no check engine when the key is on or anything like that.

Ran ok before repairs? Double check all connection at and around the repair area.
