Pls help bleed a hydraulic clutch

i have a 2005 chev cavelier that is a friend of mines over to fix his clutch. originally when he nbrought it over the clutch3e was just going to the floor and wouldnt return. so u8nder further investigation i foun d that on those m9odels aswell as other models there is a hydraulic line that rub against a mount and caudses it to creat a hole and so we replaced the line. now we are having a hell of a time bleeding the system. have tried everything any backya4rd mechanic would do. as i have bled ,many different vehichle brake systems befor. common sense wise. can anyone give me some pointwer here. i bleed it and get one pump that is pressured up and then nothing! fresakin o0ut he isnn't paying me enough to spend days on it haha

Have you tried a vacuum bleeder? I've found this works the best. If not, it will take some time.

I have not tried a vacuum bleeder but i did head to lordco and buy an oil pump and filled it with hydraulic dot3 oil and tried pumping it in from the bottom bleed nipple with a clear rubberhose and it pushes air bubbles out and fills the resevoir but after i tighten the bleeder valve it still only gives me one pump then nothing. Im wondering could running it out of oil have caused the slave cylinder to crap out. Kinda doesnt make sense because i am getting one shift out of it but maybe....... :confused:
