what is the trans switch in front of trans

I have a 2000 dodge stratus with a 2.4 auto overdrive trans.I had the trans out and broke the two wires off to the switch right under the cooler lines.the wires are orange with yellow stripe and blue wit black stripe.I dont know if i put the wire on backwards it burn something up or what.Let me know what the switch is. thanks phirmech

the trans cooler lines?? you talking about the sensor that goes in the radiator ??let me know.. I have a book I will try and look them up I also have the same motor and trans.. Mine is an 04 I will look and see if they are the same in next day or two if need be . Let me know..
