Paint Question

Hey I have a bright red 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix, and I've kept the paint on the car nice and shiny throughout the years, but in the past couple of months there are a few blotches on the rear quarter panel where the clearcoat is starting to bubble and flake off. I'm not sure what to do. It's spreading. Should I wet sand the area with a really fine grit sand paper, and spray some more clear on it? I just want it to go back to looking pretty without taking it somewhere and getting charged a rediculous amount of money.

Yup, you have the classic clear paint delamination. You're going to have to sand down the entire affected panel to remove the current clear and respray both the base color and the clear. Good news is that the respray should stay in better condition longer.
