This will be my new project, after making the Honda. Is the Yamaha YZR-M1 in 2006, piloted by Valentino. I will use various accessories TopStudio, T2M, as well as the transkit Studio27 kit and rain Geronimo.

This is the kit used.

Nice work Sandro - love the helmet - do you have dimensions for the rear wheel starter box?? can you send them to me or post them?? Also like the detail off the "soft" tire selection. The white needs to be toned down a little though. Also the decal work on the helmet was excellent - it's difficult to get those decals to work well. Good pictures too. Keep up with the pictures and the postings - John

Sandro your job is fantastic, but the disks in the front wheel are wrong. Where the disk attaches to the black rotor there are no bolts, I don't know their name but there are some cylindrical connection with a hole in the middle. With so much attention to details I suggest you to correct them.

Andrea - you are correct the "full floater" steel brakes use a button circlip retainer system to mount the disk to the carrier. still I think Sandro did a great job on the brakes - it is not easy to assemble the Geronimo brakes - I have a set and I have looked at them to determine how difficult and time consuming it is to do it. The parts can be quite small and my eyes are not as good as they were when I was younger. - John

I have built them for my Ducati GP4. It was a long job but it was worth it. I have made some circle with a punch set, glued them on the disk and from the rear made the holes like in the picture.

I have built them for my Ducati GP4. It was a long job but it was worth it. I have made some circle with a punch set, glued them on the disk and from the rear made the holes like in the picture.

That is a clever way to achieve the correct look of the brakes - thank you for sharing that Andrea - John

Thank you, Andrew and John, is really wrong, had not noticed this error, the wheel is already mounted on the motorcycle I'll try to fix it.

Very inspiring building. Beautiful details and an incredible finish. I look forward to more photos.

I found a workaround for the front brake discs, painted the central part of the screws with black, giving depth, will stay that way for hours, as needed to finish to participate in an event here in Barasil entity weekend.

As the motorcycle would have the figure of Valentino, decided to place it in an acrylic base, which tried to reproduce the ground outside the pit. Two types of sandpaper glued onto the base.

Excellent way to fix the disc Sandro - I was going to suggest that but I did not want to influence any decision to drill them like Andrea did. The overall finish of the bike and diorama set up is brilliant - John

Sandro - I think I asked before, but I cannot find the posting answer you sent - what company are the "rivets" screws - that you are using on the body work - like on the front wheel fender?? Thank you again - John

Beautiful work!
Where did you get the blue Camel lettering that you've used on the legs of the figurine?

I found the rider decal set from Hobby Design.
How did you redo the figurine? Did you paint over the "Team"-marking on the legs of the figure? Looks great!

That's right Joel, first I scraped the decals carefully, then painted again in color and added the decal from Hobby Design.

Great project! I would also want to buy and modify a Yamaha early next year, but need to focus on my Mazda 3 for now. Thanks for sharing! Very inspiring man!
