Bmw r75/5

Finished this bike this week and took some photos today.

The model is a 1/6 Tamiya BMW R75/5. It's a really nice kit with a lot of parts. I had a lot of problems with the engine parts cause they didn't fitt at all. I used a lot of sandpaper and putty to fitt it right.

I replaced a lot of bolts and screws for real ones. I used some nice screws from RBmotion.com and a few from my partsbox.

The wheelspokes are replaced with 0.7mm steelwire to make it more realistic.

The paint I used is Zero Paints Black by Porsche. Clearcoated it with Zero Paints 2K Clear. All metallook parts are painted with different AcladII paints.

Today I made some final shots of this bike. I'm really pleased with the result. The best model I've done so far I think!

The heat staining is spot on! Just beautiful! I thought the 1st pick was of a real Bike!

Could easily be mistaken for 1:1. I agree with Lumpulus, the heat stain is just right. You kept staining with a gloss finish, just as it should be.
