Hi! how are you?
I started this nissan some time ago, i did some progress but it isnt very much...well my modeling process is slow :iceslolan
i have two kits of this nissan, one will be 100% original out of the box....but this one will be more "sporty" some kind of trackdays car, it will have a simple roll bar, ITBs, DIS system, very low stance, maybe it wont have the hood, only one racing seat etc etc etc
Lets see some photos
http://img812.imageshack.us/img812/5571/p1040681.jpg
http://img5.imageshack.us/img5/1028/p1040685t.jpg
I bought this kit and it came with the roof broken, so i had to repair it - and i also filled the holes for the wing because it wont have the wing
http://img833.imageshack.us/img833/9907/p1040686w.jpg
The very well known engine
http://img59.imageshack.us/img59/8282/p1040688i.jpg
http://img4.imageshack.us/img4/2909/p1040689dy.jpg
http://img99.imageshack.us/img99/3162/p1040690.jpg
Then i started to assemble the engine
http://img11.imageshack.us/img11/6669/p1040717ig.jpg
The idea is to paint the valve cover with clear red to make some kind of effect that i have in my mind :screwy: but unlucky the paint did not came very smooth so i have to do this again
http://img842.imageshack.us/img842/3559/p1040719q.jpg
http://img12.imageshack.us/img12/8760/p1040721o.jpg
http://img200.imageshack.us/img200/5722/p1040737q.jpg
http://img23.imageshack.us/img23/8351/p1040732r.jpg
Then i try to make some kind of DIS support - the blue square is the DIS -
http://img684.imageshack.us/img684/6733/p1040739g.jpg
it should be mounted like this
http://img41.imageshack.us/img41/823/p1040727r.jpg
I have to find thinner wire to the spark plugs, because this one is a bit fatty
http://img20.imageshack.us/img20/139/p1040730zz.jpg
And then i also started with the wheel part of the process, i had 2 options...watanabes with slicks tyres or deep TVR
http://img830.imageshack.us/img830/3737/p1040777s.jpg
http://img694.imageshack.us/img694/1771/p1040780e.jpg
Watanabes
http://img97.imageshack.us/img97/6200/p1040783j.jpg
http://img97.imageshack.us/img97/2385/p1040786i.jpg
http://img13.imageshack.us/img13/5676/p1040835t.jpg
http://img854.imageshack.us/img854/7716/p1040828r.jpg
http://img5.imageshack.us/img5/9946/p1040829r.jpg
http://img31.imageshack.us/img31/3520/p1040840t.jpg
http://img812.imageshack.us/img812/9102/p1040841o.jpg
http://img839.imageshack.us/img839/3416/p1040842q.jpg
So as you see, I finally choose the TVR to do something a little different (because 8 spokes on skys are very common), so then i had to cut the wheel to make it a little narrower
I have to take some photos of some updates i did a few days ago
Hope you guys like the proyect

Thanks Dashman!
The colour part is the most complicated thing...i have been checking in internet, and it seems that the original colours of the skyline was the grey and the white...but since im not doing an original model, maybe i go for another colour, i was thinking in dark blue but honestly im not 100% sure
