Hi all,
I'm hoping to get a little help diagnosing a problem with my '95 Taurus V6 3.0L. Here's the scoop:
When I'm sitting at a stoplight, my car shakes. When I begin to accelerate again, the shaking stops. Also, if I put it in park, the shaking stops. The problem only persists while I'm stopped AND in gear. Any thoughts?
Thanks so much :)

Welcome to the forum!
Sounds like a misfire, either ignition or due to a vacuum leak. Do you know the last time a tune up was performed on the car? I'd suggest starting by carefully inspecting all vacuum hoses for cracks or splits, inspect the intake air tubing for cracks and to make sure it is properly secured at both ends, then change the spark plugs, spark plug wires, air filter, fuel filter, distributor cap and rotor (if your engine is one that had a cap and rotor).

Sounds like my recent problem. The car bounced and surged and bucked like a horse at stoplights. The rpm needle would bounce. Accelerating in the slightest would release the problem-no problems while driving short or long distances The longer it went on the worse it got till eventually the car would stall if the red light was too long. Shifting into park at every red light and revving got old. I took it to repair 2wks ago. I had a hose that was cut, possibly during the previous structural repair of springs struts rods etc. They replaced the hose and all is good again. Total bill guessing just under $200 (I had other repairs done on windshield washer reservoir and an air sensor fix I didnt ask for-go figure, the light went back on a wk later.)
