Two questions:
1. Why is the 5.7 Hemi sometimes badged as "HEMI Magnum". I thought the Magnum V8s were different from the HEMIs...
2. How is the current 5.7 Hemi in terms of reliability?.. Any problems with the MDS, etc???
A friend of mine has a 2007 Dodge Durango and so far he has no complaints about the engine.

The question is which of the two produces more Torque and BHP when moded...
I've read an article in Truckin' that they took an old junkyard HEMI with MDS and after putting in a performance cam, they got 401 BHP and 425 torque...
Now, how would an old junk LS1 do with a similar mod???

The same if not better considering the LSx engines are VERY happy with aftermarket camshafts and respond very well to mods.
