FNF Supra

I got it today. So far so good. I painted it Tamiyia TS-83 (I think thats what it is) Gunmetal, and it'l have a red roll cage. Only thing i dislike about it is the front doesnt seem rounded enough..

Tamiya don't make a paint color labelled TS-83....maybe you mean TS-38?

I am assuming this is the AMT kit?
What is it like as far as overall detail goes? Decent decals?

Well.. its "finished", needless to say, it didnt come out as well as expected. I mean i sure is nice.. but its nothing to really brag over. I'll have some more pics as soon as I get the headlights on..

Hey! Don't jump up and down too quickly. You haven't seen FOTW's version of the Bomex kit yet! ;) I still think Chris can do a lot better and make it looks more accurate. If you don't know who I'm talking about I'm talking about fly on the wall, Chris or SAS(Scale auto style)

Looks good though, gonna puck it up ASAP. Need those decals, nos bottles, and other stuff.

I think if or when Chris gets to his version it's gonna blow AMT's version out of the water.

Also IMO CamaroSSBoy346 you should have put more effort and time into it. I could never do what you did or want to! I would't be satified with it and I would probably have taken it apart and done it all over again, but that's just me.

we are waiting for near 2 year for this kit :D sure SAS one will be better if it get ever released.. but hey ! We talk about a kit of 9.99$ !!!!!

my supra was $14.00 :confused: plus, im not used to Tamiyia paints, i've only used Tamiyia once, on a Honda. Im gonna rebuy this kit and paint it with the color im most used to

looks like a good kit, I'll probably pick up one or two of these, but when you think about it, custom shaping your own kit and scratch making most of it is a lot more satisfying than just sticking it all together. :rolleyes: sometimes I think the model companies make it all too easy. And what is it with that rear wing? it looks a little too 'bling blingin' for something made out of aluminium. :confused:

they will be in the uk next month, everything from the supra to the eclipse, Model zone sell them, i just bought the 67 gto from "xxx" kit quality is kinda pants compared to tamiya, nearly every bit needs large mold lines removed!!! instructions are pathetic but looks promising if not a little easy

the wing is from Revell's diecast FNF Eclipse, the supports are from the supra. IT IS GETTING REBUILT TODAY! i will post new pics later. It will be a different color too.

everything is actually painted. The entire kit was molded in grey.

only thing i really hate about this kit is the rear tail lights are molded red, so you cant really do anything about that, and the front bumper doesnt fit right.

doesnt look near as bad as i thought it would, i want one so bad now!!!!!!

Dude, you finished in like 1 day?! Slow down.... Take your time. You'll find out that when you take your time, things look better... your paint in the interior isnt even that good... The only thing that looks somehwat good is the exterior paint. I could nit pick the whole car but im not going to. Try slowing down for the next one.

Very impressive skills you have. I could only paint a few parts in 1 day while you can build the whole car with "ok" quality. But yeah like other guys said.. take your time, try to enjoy the building process and spend more time. I'm sure your next one will look awesome!

expect a Tamiyia Supra build up in the next month:hehe:

and I actually spent more time painting the interior......:confused:
