Trying to stop rusting trunk

Hello I have a 69 Firebird and the porblem is that trunk rust. I had the entire trunk replaced a few year ago because it rusted out. Now the new trunk has started to rust again. I just removed the surface as much as possible and sprayed the entire trunk with rust converter. My question is can I spray the trunk with truck bed liner to seal it?????
