Cruise control

I have a 1996 jimmy and it has no cruise control, if i replace the signal switch and add the cruise control modular, will that work?or am I just wasting my time.:jerking::screwy::confused:

I'm guessing you'll need harness(s) of some sort. I would consult with a buisness that installs add on cruise systems to be sure. I've never installed a cruise system, but worked on plenty of them.

The wires are there just have to plug in.....just wondering if i have to reprogram the PCM

Update: After installing the cruse control took for a road test and it worked
