I have recently acquired a Hyundai Sante Fe 2003 2wd 2.7L. I have been driving it for over a year now with the odometer currently displaying 111,000 miles. I figured it was time for a basic tune-up part of which will involve a radiator flush. I just wanted to know if the Santa Fe radiator system is made of aluminum because I was contemplating flushing with vinegar or CLR that could corrode the core if it is. I also wanted to detail the exterior of the radiator by using oven cleaner and straightening the fins with a fin straightener. However, the fins are coiled negating the usefulness of this tool. What would some of you recommend. I will upload pics.
