Turbo'd 420a's

Hey for all you running 420a turbos, how is your performance? I just wanna hear your experience/results on if you like it or not. Thanks everyone!

Jason, Dave, and a couple others on here have done it and have had a variety of results. Jason has been doing some pretty cool upgrades here lately and I'm sure he will be chiming in real soon to give you the skinny.

It all depends on what your build is. When I had the stock bottom end, built head, cammed, and 8lbs on a T3, I enjoyed it. Ran great and had fun with it. I knew at 120,000 miles it wasn't going to last long. I had some problems with fuel cut and lean conditions which I'm sure shortened the life of the block. Was building a new block anyways, and eventually blew the old one.

After the build, I enjoyed it, but the more performance, the more the build, the more work and more likely something is going to go wrong. I used MegaSquirt, and that was a huge pain to learn and get running right.

I had a Daily Driver, so I was able to have as much downtime as possible. Eventually, I parted out and called it quits. Got tired of the problems.

Still running mine. On the stock block mine lasted 1.5 years and about 15-20k. The built motor has not had any issues. If you need help with anything just let us know. Just hope you know what you are getting into. If your on a small budget this might not be worth getting into. However if you dont mind spending some cash then this car isint that bad to mod.
