I just replaced the struts on my 2000 Camry V6. I used the Monroe Quick Struts. They were about $150 each but Advance Auto Parts had a special for 15-25% off when you order online and use the code SHOX2. The four of them ended up costing me about $500. I installed them myself so my labor cost was zero.

There is currently a $100 rebate from Monroe on a set of 4 quick struts.

You didn't mention the year of your Camry but when replacing the struts on my '99, I also replaced the bearing plates... a usual failure part (where the top of the strut connects to). If all work is done in a shop you are probably looking at $800-1000 for all four including bearing plates.

I'm in the process of doing quick struts on a 2000 Camry. So far I have only done the back two. I'll be doing the front two next weekend. If I had to make another recommendation (other than using Monroe Quick Struts) , it's that the OEM end links are crap, and get some MOOG ones and just replace them all. The OEM ones will be rusted too much to reliably reuse them. They require an allen wrench that will strip out. So have an angle grinder handy! The Moog replacement ones don't use an allen wrench and have regreasable fittings.
