How many McLaren F1s have you seen?

I would come too (like I did with 007, drive more then 8 hours from Holland to Geneva:))

Should ring up number fourteen on my list in the morning if all goes well. :sunglasse

Might share some 'live' photos, but I didn't bring a real camera along on this trip so iPhone quality only.

Any guesses? Keep in mind it is one I have not seen yet if that helps narrow things down for anyone.

1997 FIA GT A1 Ring Austria
1997 FIA GT Mugello
1998 FIA GT A1 Ring Austria
2009 FOS Goodwood
2010 FOS Goodwood

If you're talking about the car w Gulf livery (I wasn't keeping track of the chassis #), stored in that facility not far from his place, PL showed me that car some years ago. It was road-legal then (although the job was done by someone other than the factory, and not done well), and it did not belong to him; it belonged to a client of his.

I will fine out soon


I think it would be news if the Gulf livery has been restored on #02R.

Russ - how long ago did you see it and how much of the blue and yellow were left? Just the wheels, like in this photo?

I was lucky to chance on the car its in very good company :wink: the car was as it raced yellow and blue not like your pic i viewed it about 2 years ago

Yes - that is McLaren San Francisco which is actually located in Palo Alto, CA. The dealership is owned by Tom Price and that's his personal F1 that is on display - chassis #028 for those not immediately familiar.

That 12C is one of the prototypes that McLaren have in the USA which they were using for customer test drives at various locations around the country. It is PP14. The dealership also have their 12C rolling chassis on display.

They will be getting their actual demo cars in the next couple of weeks as will most of the North American dealerships. Then our customer 12Cs will begin to arrive in January based on the current schedule.

I'll have all my photos and the ones taken by a friend of mine to share on Flickr later on. :cool:
