I changed the oil pressure sensor less than a year ago, and it has gone bad. I don't want to spend the time or money to change it again with such a short life span. The low oil pressure light and chime go off all the time. I am trying to figure out how to deactivate the chime.

I had to replace the oil pressure sensor on my 1997 Park Ave at around 110k miles. I don't think there is any way around silencing the chime other than installing a new sensor.

The low oil level sensor in the pan, or the oil pressure sensor near the oil filter?
