Mini tutorial: How to integrate an air intake?

1) Draw a grill to have some marks to position the new air intake:

2) Draw the shape of the air intake and cut the aera:

3) Sand the edges:

4) With the old piece of the hood, create some little pieces to build a second edge:

5) Glue the air intake on the edge:

And finally, fill up the hood.

thats cool, where did u buy the intake from? was gonna say the if you wanted to retain a liftable hood you could sand down the vent on the back till it was very thin, glue and then blend, the same way we do it on real cars with the fibreglass evo vents:devil:

on my astra i cut out the vents from the sas c west skyline kit. then blended them in, i think vents alaways make the cars look that bit better:devil:

Your Astra has a cool hood, I'm creating a shape which links the air intake to the calender (filled up). In this way, the hood has the middle "bulged". It's not finished but soon I'll post my pics in a progress thread.

I went forgotten for the intake, it is a friend who has given me it, I did not buy it in a store.
