Cargo Lamp removal

I have been humbled by the rectangular plastic cargo lamp assembly in the roof center at the back. I need to removed the whole assembly so that I can access the third brake light harness for replacement. How does that light housing come out?

Thanks,

George

What year?
Can you remove lense and look in there for mounting screws/bolts?

Thanks for your response but I took a brute force approach and removed the entire plastic trim piece from the ceiling that spans across the liner and houses the assembly and that gave me access to the third brake light harness. You pull down on the piece and it pops out via the insertion clips.

Thanks for posting back howit went.
Was the harness bad or other problems?

The third brake light had cracked and failed due to sun exposure (Florida). When I tried to remove the old one, the harness connector would not quite clear the hole in the body where the rubber grommet protects the wire so I needed to be able to access the connector from the inside of the vehicle. All is well with this problem now and it is on to the heater core leak which I have posted seperately.

Thanks,

George
