intake question

ok... all opinions are welcome... i have customized a CAI for my 1986 celica... it works pretty well... now my question is i have tried splitting the pipe and turning the one intake into two (not CAI yet) and i didnt feel much of a diff except a louder sound... now do you think it would help if i split the intake and put both filters under the engine??? its now acting like a 2 CAI kinda... i wanna consult someone first before spending my $5 at home depot. (hehehe)

it wont help at all to have a dual filter intake.
