Hi guys,
Thought I'd introduce myself quickly - I may be needing some advice/help on this build over the next few months.
I've just bought the above bike kit - its the yellow-liveried 50th anniversary M1 that Rossi and Hayden rode only at Laguna Seca in 2005. Now, I haven't build a model since I was about 9 years old (I'm now 38), but I'm determined to have a good crack at this one.
I've spent some time surfing around YouTube etc for similar build and I'm blown away by some of the finished products out there. I thought I'd build this fromt he box, but now I'm looking at photoetched materials and repleacement forks, etc etc. I'm not sure how deep I want to go into my first build - I don't want to manafacture my own swingarms/screens etc! - but I would like a decent finish.
If there are any immediate do/do not advice you can give me, I'd appreciate it, and I'll be posting photos in due course throughout.....
Many many thanks,
SP
