Another recently finished model for me is this 1/24 Brabham.
Denny Hulme won the 1967 Championship in this car beating his team mate (and boss) Jack Brabham by 5 points. Mr Brabham was probably not too fussed though as he was crowned constructors champion that year.
Although they only finished first 3 times in '67, the Brabham team were consistent finishers and had many more 2nd and 3rd places that racked up the points!
The kit is from South Eastern Finecast and is of 100% white metal.
I added some simple wiring for the injector lines and ignition and a few of the oil lines to busy up the rear.
Paint is my own mix of Ford Fern Green with a spot of black (guess work!)
Bright work is Alclad.

Thanks for looking and any comments.
Best regards, Steve.

My you've been busy Steve - in addition to the jag, you've turned out another cracker with this Brabham - lovely work. I notice both builds are 24th scale - I tend between 1/20 & 43rd myself - what kind of money do these 1/24th kits cost approx?

A fine example of the era. I still do the occasional Grand Prix Legends drive even though the sim is over 10 years old. The mods keep it interesting and the physics model was good from the start. If I had more free time I would spend more time on the sim.

Thanks very much for the kind words Gents.
Paul, the South Eastern Finecast kits retail about £50 - £75 but sometimes come up on ebay for less. The K&R kits are a bit more expensive starting around £95 up to about £120 for kits with full engine detail.
They are all challenging to build but good results can be had and this is very satisfying. They are not as accurate as modern IM plastic kits but I for one love the look and feel of a white metal model.
