Radio Volume Problems

We have a 2005. The volume will go to 100% just by touching the volume knob. Some times you have to turn the knob many times to get the volume down. Can this be fixed by me? Or do I need to replace the radio? Thanks, Tony

My 02 is kinda the opposite. I turn it up and it will move up one click in the display, but then immediately move back down that one click, even if I'm giving it a good spin that should move the volume up way more than one click in the display. I'm going to say it is probably something physically wrong with the internal knob control and not normally fixable. If you are good with electronics, and you can find a replacement controller, then you could take the radio apart, desolder the old controller and solder in the new. But most likely you'll have to get a new radio.
