A/C Evaporator

So, How bad is the job of replacing the evaporator core on an '01 GP?

Before I change any evap, I need three positive indicators-- such as dye pouring out drain tube, or smell of refrigerant oil in air duct, and a positive hit off my trusty leak detector....As long as you are sure then go for it-- it is a dash pull- first time to pull it is always the hardest..they get easier the more you do...a subscription to an online service manual helps...

I agree......I think the dash has to come out......major job...so as suggested, you better be absolutely positive that the evaorator is your problem...
