FIAT 500 Abarth

Hi,

base kit was the Fujimi Fiat 500 Abarth kit in 1:24.

After a visit in Hockenheim I decided to lengthen the front and add a rear wing. Whees from the kit are a "no-go", replacement came from Scaleproduction. Some etched parts from Hobby Desing were used.

I didn´t use all P/E parts, but those I used fit well

I used these inserts http://www.scaleproduction.de/product_info.php/info/p768_Felgeneinsaetze-18--BBS-GT3R---schwarz.html and a friend of mine made alu-rings especially for this model on a lathe, tires are from Pegasus

Wow, that is sharp. I'm not surprised how well done this is.

Nice and clean! Yes, those wheels looks alot better than the shitty ones Fujimi did. Too bad they messed up every release with the rims!!

We're just starting to get the 500's in the US, and who knows when the Abarths are coming. Is this a factory paint scheme? Or something you made up? It works, the grey and white.

Thanks Frank !! The kit wheels should be a little bit larger and the tires not so tall, that would do.

Anyway: Concerning the colour, it is hard to say, what factory colours were at the old version. For sure, grey, white, blue and red were dominating. Here are some reference photos:
