I have a 1989 corvette that starts great the at first time but after about 10 minutes will not start again for several hours. I have changed the fuel pump, fuel filter, fuel regulator,EGR valve and vapor canister, all needed to be changed. I used to have to remove the fuel cap and then it would start. 3 caps later and this no longer works.
Any ideas?

This is an easy one, because when it WON'T START, that is the time to test it.....does it have spark? Does it have fuel pressure? Does it have injector pulse?
When something like this won't start after things get warmed up, it's usually electronics.....not sure if this year system uses a crank sensor or if it just uses the ignition module in the distributor....whichever it uses, that's what I'd be leaning towards, if it has fuel pressure....

I do have spark. I am waiting for a new pump assy. I think it might be fuel related due to the way it used to restart after removing the gas cap.
