Greetings fellow ladies and gentlemen, my 00’ GP SE V6 3.1L 130,400+ KM is faced with yet another issue, AC cooling. I noticed for the past weeks with the extreme temperatures reaching 100 degree in Florida my AC hasn’t been blowing cool air though it is blowing pretty strong whether its on low speed or high. I recently purchase a 134a refrigerant canister to see if that would solve the issue unfortunately the problem is still there. The gauge reads the refrigerant is full. I look forward to hearing all advices and suggestions to help solve this issue before I take it to a pricey mechanic shop. Thanks!

Need to know EXACTLY what the high and low side pressures are....if there is a code in the car......If system pressure is ok, could have a pressure sensor problem.....

Yes, I believe the pressure from the low port is up to specs, however, I am not sure if the compressor is operating correctly.

Perhaps, I should take it to Autozone to get a code reading.

If you want to waste your time. Do you have a check engine light on? Running a scan for odb-ii codes won't help fix your A/C issue. An A/C Pro would be better if you do not have the right diagnostic equipment or skills.

Does the compressor clutch engage when you turn on the AC? The Grand Prix uses a Delphi V5 AC compressor which is variable displacement and will rarely ever cycle the clutch, so if you turn the AC on, then go look at the compressor the clutch should be engaged and spinning with the compressor pulley.
