2007 Maxx Remote Door Lock

Hello,
My wife has a 2007 Malibu Maxx. The problem we are having is that most of the time neither key fob will unlock the doors. All other functions work - the remote start, hatch open, door locks. I have replaced the batteries in the fobs, but since the problem is there with both fobs, it must be something in the car itself? Also, it doesn't matter where you are in relation to the car when the buttons are pressed, so it isn't a range issue. Any thoughts??

To be sure it's not a fob issue, take both fobs to your dealer and ask them to test the fobs, the will have a tester that will check all functions of your key fobs, this is usually done at no charge.
