Manual operation of rear liftgate

Is it ok to open and close the rear liftgate manually if the vehicle is equipped with the remote liftgate option? I always use the remote to open and close the liftgate, but when I take my Pacifica to the car wash I've noticed that they always just yank the liftgate open and slam it shut. Will this eventually result in the liftgate not operating properly with the remote?

Hi, Welcome to the forums!

If Chrysler have included an external handle on it, then they have made an allowance in the design for the tail gate to be opened manually, or remotely.

I very much doubt they are doing it any harm.
