99 Blazer, Light Sensor shutting off lights

Can anyone tell me where to find the relay or resistor or whatever is causing The dash radio and info center lights to go off when it turns dark. Just a bit frustrating driving in the dark with no dash lights, Thanks

Does it occur when the lights are turned on manually as well?
Is the dimmer dial turned all the way up?
