Good luck with this one. I started a Gunze (Testors box) a few years ago with the intention to back date it to a '72 model but lost interest in it. That said, Panteras are pretty cars and any kit will build into an attractive model.

There are a couple of other kits floating around that are better: Tilt made one with opening doors and working lights but goes for about $100 when they turn up. It also shows up in a Marui box too. Both are VERY rare. The other is a rather odd (for Fujimi anyway) resin curbside with nice machined wheels and photoetch for about $200. One is on eBay right now.

I finally snagged a Tilt and will try again with it one day. In the meantime I'll be watching you to see what I missed out on with the Gunze/Testors...

it should be a Ford 351 windsor...maybe u can finde some nice ones into the revell muscle cars classic box..

Nice work Denilson. Nice Cleveland engine. It would probably be faster to just scratch the AC condensor/fan unit. That yellow thing you have in that last pick will just waste your time trying to carve it down. It's HUGE! I wonder if you could use a ZF transaxle from one of the Ford GT40 kits?

The RBT transaxle, a 6-speed version of the ZF, in the Revell Shelby Series 1 is almost the exact match of the one used in the Pantera. It just needs to be turned upside down.

This is looks really good. It seems like it will be a massive improvement over the standard model when it's done. I'll be watching the progress on this one...:smile:

i just stumbled across this build, he has stuffed a lamborghini countach motor in it, but i thought he has done a real nice job on the car itself and i straight away thought of your build
