89 Saab 4-door Turbo-Check Engine Light

On my 89 900 Turbo, 4-door Saab, the Check Engine light stays on. I am looking for the connector to extract the code. The Bentley manual says that it is under the rear seat. I have looked there but can't find it. I have not yet completely removed the rear seat. Does anyone know the specific location of the connector to extract the fault code? Thanks.
