92 C1500 fuel pump

I have replaced the fuel pump and filter as well as the relay, 12V power at the pump and no power on the ground. It still seems as if the pump is not working, I have no fuel pressure. Any ideas?
C-1500 2wd 5.7L.

Can you hear the pump run for a couple of seconds when the key is turned on??

VERY common for the wiring INSIDE the fuel tank to corrode, overheat, and lose conductivity.

Most fuel pumps come with a wire harness repair kit. Was the wiring inspected/repaired when the pump was installed?

replaced the harness in the tank, and still no sound from the pump.

If the pump truly has power and ground, but doesn't work--I'd say the pump is defective.

Surprisingly common now that many in-tank pumps are made in China.

I sent an Airtex pump back because it was Chinese, bought a made-in-USA Delco instead. Not all Airtex pumps are Chinese, and not all Delco pumps are sourced from the USA.
