Speedometer issue!

My speedo is broke so I was going to buy a used one,will my miles change or are they saved in the cars computer?

You did not say what year or model the Focus is but I am guessing they are all the same. The mileage is stored in the guage cluster and will change after the swap. If possible, be sure to record the mileage on the old cluster before you pull it out.
