Been away from building models for the last year or so. Just couldn't find the motivation to build, so I thought I would build something quick to get back into it. Choose this Yamaha RZV 500R from Tamiya, but never liked the colour scheme so converted it to a UK RD 500 YPVS instead. Some home made decals were needed, so these were done on my laser printer. The only other modification was the use of some aluminium tubing for the exhausts to save time trying to fill the join line on the Tamiya ones, as they were in two halves. Ideally the RD 500 should have different mirrors and indicators and the frame was slightly different as well, but I left these untouched so it's not a perfect replica. Painted with Tamiya TS Pearl White and Zero Ferrari Red with Zero 2K clear coat. A home made number plate finished it off.
