Car no spark no start

I have a 98 Dodge Stratus ES. a couple of weeks ago my timing belt broke Timing belt and trencher was replaced. My care has a lot of miles on it. The car has not ran right sense. It ran high idle. Yesterday went to the bank the check engine light came on and the fans quit. My husband took the car to work and home. Now the car will not start we have no fire please give us an idea where we need to start this is our only car!
