Hi dear guys, it's been several decades since last time I posted something. I'm now very much an old fart rather than the moon-faced teenager in your distant memories. Being buried by the works I was away from beloved hobby for a long time, and trust me, there wasn't a single day that I stopped dreaming about this moment---geting back to the community! Things were getting better and I could eventually spare some time on modeling, so I think it might be the time. Since I work relatively slowly and was still lacking modeling hours, I thought the best way of doing this was with a complete model instead of a forever-going WIP. Then I grabbed a less demanding tamiya kit in case I forgot how. So here it is, not perfect but I'm really happy that I can finally build something out! I've tried a new way to present, hope you like it. Any comments, criticisms, questions and discussions are welcome, just say something, guys! I missed you!!!

The model is very good - apparently no problems getting back from the break there.

The thing that blows me away is your presentation! I honestly don't think I've ever seen better in one of the top modelling magazines. The photography is top drawer, and the layout is professional. As for the writing...well, I've run out of superlatives.

There have been many outstanding projects posted on this forum, and while I don't generally get excited about road cars, this post really stands out.

I'm looking forward to your next project - please don't wait too long.

Stunning presentation Tang! I too had problems with the panel lines etching on this kit. Coincidentally I built and painted mine exactly the same as yours but I must say, yours is better than mine in every detail! Well done on a flawless kit, it's beautiful!

Is the intake plenum really white? I did mine with flat white, as all the pictures I saw online but, I doubt if it is light gray or white.

This build is well made and the presentation is nothing less than professional. As a graphic designer, I really enjoyed your layout and presentation of your work. Great use of space and typeface, it really brings out the model more realistic.

Can't really add more to it than all the others have already mentioned.

The presentation is just fantastic and very refreshing. Brilliant.
But the presentation is IMO overshadowed by the fantastic quality of the build. Amazingly clean, great details, perfectly executed alltogether...
Big thumbs up and a great re-entry!

For begining I thought that is joke - what does the real car in Car model section ?
Then I realized it is not real one. And I started to cry...

:banghead:

In The Polish language is the phrase 'zajebisty' - that is, more or less - 'fu***ing cool' (positively) and this is a right phrase for summary your excelent work, gorgeous model, max high detailing and outstanding photos in presentation.

I look at models I have done, and I asking my self "what is it" ? :iceslolan:

Hi Kitefighter, that's a lovely DB9 you got, I assume the green one is pretty rare right? Don't let your DBS wait on the sprues, I'm sure it'll be much better than the minichampions when finished, and way more funny!

Is the intake plenum really white? I did mine with flat white, as all the pictures I saw online but, I doubt if it is light gray or white.
Thank you very much buddy, I think it's flat white just as all the pics suggested. There's something I'd like to share about the white paint. I used finisher's foundation white for that part then flat cleared it. That paint is the whitest I've ever used, and covers the base coat incredibly well. I've also tried some other flat white before and they were all more or less yellowished, not this one, really great stuff!

It is white.
Hi xpeed thank you for the picture and kind comments! That was the very car that inspired me on the paint scheme inside out.

WOW !!!

Thank you very much Helico, I'm sure they've seen better. But here's a loooong wish list that I really would like to send to them! Please Tamiya please make the alfa 8C, 4C, the maserati Gran Turismo, and all those new ferraris!!! Wow and Studio27 is about to release the Alfa TZ3 Corsa later this month!!!

Wow. Amazing work. Welcome back. I recently resumed this hobby as well after a 5 year break.

Hi da ashman, thanks for the comments. I did the layout in Photoshop. I'm not a professional graphic designer so I wasn't capable of much softwares like Indesign, but I thought I should have a try when possible, that should make life more easy right?

Hi Bernard I wish I could get back to the scaglietti but for the moment I have a higher priority of a 458 for an important friend of mine, the obviously better revell one by the way. I'll finish the 612 any way as it was actually half-way to the destination. I'm struggling if I should put a WIP thread here since you know... seemed none of them had an happy end lol~~~~~~~~ Thank you very much for the inputs!

....."That google translator really made a lot of fun there LOL...."
Google translator should translate it as "Super, very nice model".
But, I don't want to know how google translator did his work :iceslolan.
It will be better If I erase this translation.

Did you know Stevenski who's one of your Polish lads? Haven't seen the old dude for a long time...
Yes I know him personally. He is very nice Man. I haven't seen him for several years, but I know he lives. I can even tell you that he lives near my city.
He also have desappered from the Polish Modelers' Forum (we miss him and his sense of humor:)). But I know for sure - he lives.
