07 Civic Dash Display

My wife has an 07 civic LX and when you start the car the dash display is all messed up. The speedo displays 0, the tach doesn't respond, there is nothing displayed in the fuel or engine temp gauge, the odometer has nothing in it, and the parking brake light, check engine light and seat belt light all flicker continuously. Also the air conditioning doesn't work. She drove the car yesterday afternoon and everything was fine, and then last night we got in and everything was messed up. A little research online and the only thing similar I found was for a civic hybrid and they said the battery needed to be replaced? That seems a little extreme for a bad battery, especially since the car starts and runs like it is supposed to. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Fixed it. The battery was the problem. The positive terminal was corroded and after cleaning it everything is back to normal.
