2007 Ford Escape Ipod auxiliary capabilities

I have been looking at a 2007 Ford Escape. I am concerned with the driving, gas mileage etc. However my wife is only concerned if she can play her IPOD in it. I didnt find any plug in in the console or the am/fm cd stereo itself. But i heard you can buy some kind of adapter for a reasonable price at like Best Buy or Big Lots. Anyone know of what I am talking about and how much, name of product etc? Thanks.

I'm not sure but I just purchased a brand new aftermarket cd player with ipod controls built in, USB ipod cable to connect it to the stereo, dash kit and wiring harness for my '04 Escape, all for under $100.
