Have a 2000 continental with extended crank. after 2-3 times of hittin the key it starts and runs. the car drives fine and have no issues. only on start up......i have replaced spark plugs fuel filter(which were needed) and fuel pump. put gauge on rail and at idle had 30psi. could i have a bad fuel pressure regulator. or does this veh have one. because there is not a return fuel line on this veh.....I need so help if anyone can give me some advise would be grately needed:runaround::crying:

That's possible. What I would suggest is to check fuel pressure after it sets for a while and see if it bleeds off. And if so it should regain pressure as soon as ign. is turned on, before cranking. You shouldn't have to cycle the key any more times to regain pressure. I would be suspect of the regulator. Also you said you replaced the pump, did it have a check valve on the tube just above the pump on the sending unit assy? That could possibly be defective allowing pressure to bleed back off into the tank. Hope this helps. Good luck.
