2006 malibu ss HU replacement

the 6 cd changer quit working, but the radio works fine. i dont know about any other trims but the ss' diagnostic system displays faults on the head unit. 1- can i replace the stock unit with an after market one without causing problems with the diagnostics system, and 2- is there an auxiliary jack on the back of the stock radio?
