First of all this is not that serious of a question. I was just wondering how the number of cylinders effect the horsepower or torque.
Now if you have a, lets say, 3.0L 4-cylinder and a 3.0 8-cylinder, made by the same manufacture with the same technology; which would have the most horsepower and torque? Or would it be the same?

well this is just a guess based on my knowledge of engines, but i would think that the 4 cylinder would have more torque but less horsepower slightly, and the v8 would have less torque but slihghtly more horsepower.
this is because the v8 would have to have a very small bore, but since it does have 8 cylinders, it would be firing twice as many times as the 4 cylinder for the same number of revolutions. Maybe im wrong, but i know the second part is true.
