What lift if any for larger wheels

I have a 2008 2500 z71 that i want to put 20" or 22" wheels on. I do not want a 6" lift, so what is the minimum lift that I would need to support 22" wheels.

you may not need to lift at all. i have (my dad) an 05 silverado with 20's
on it.plenty of clearance up/down & turning.
BTW he did'nt want them & went back to 17's so the 20's are 4sale cheap
wheels lugs,locks,center caps real clean crome over aluminum sell for
1000.00 each he wants 200.00 each (6 lug 2wh drive)

its possible to run up to a 265 70 tire.... without a lift on it, i currently have 275 60 20's on my 2000 chevy silverado 2500 4x4 (8 lug) and i had to install a leveling kit to give enough clearance for turning due to rubbing issues without it ... if you look on eBay for a leveling kit one can be purchased for about $150.00, they adjust your torsion bar setting to allow larger tires, (the larger tires will cause quicker wear on stock components like, wheel bearings, cv axles, control arm bushings tie rod ends) be sure to install the new shock mounting brackets to adjust for the difference in height ... most leveling kits will accomodate up to a 33 inch tires and maintain factory ride.... A WHEEL ALIGNMENT MUST BE DONE WITH ANY SUSPENSION LIFT INCLUDING LEVELING KITS.

more specific to the question. the lift required if any at all, will be determined by the entire overall size of the rim and tire... if the rims used and tire remain in the normal size range of the standard size tires that came stock on the vehicle no lift will be needed, if you use a tire equivelant to 33 inches you will most likely need a leveling kit. larger the overall tire size the larger the lift would be required.
