electrical issues (lighting strike)

Question for any techs out there.My 99 grand caravan got hit by lightning while on vacation, actually saw it (the odds) in virginia not running in a parking lot. It struck the magnetic mount cb antenna. Surprizingly it did not blow the inline fuse on the cb & van runs , but it did mess up a few things. Rad fans stayed on,abs light is on, ac stopped working, wipers stay on even with van shut off & dash lights flicker in intensity. Brought van to dealer, changed relay for fans, solved that problem, ac works if jumped from under the hood only, changed wiper motor said it was burnt out, worked for a bit issue came back. Drove van home brought to another dealer & they say it needs another wiper motor, abs module, power dist box (fuse box under the hood) ac presure transducer & bcm module.Now my understanding is the bcm controls these last remaining issues except for the abs, but what I don't get is the wipers work fine if the key is in the on position with van not running, as soon as you start the van they stay on, to shut them off you shut the van off put key back to on position & turn colum stalk to off. Now if it was the bcm I wouldn't think it would make a difference if the van was running or not that it would still get the same message to run. Now I'm wondering if I need a bcm to fix the wipers, ac, & flickering dash lights or it's the power dist box. Also when I brought the van home I got the cover off of the relay for the ac clutch & got the clutch to ingage by closing the contacts. Any opinions would be appreciated. Have to decide if I want to fix it or let insurance company write it off which is hard to do seeing everything else works & van is in good shape.

Would anyone know of some sites I could go to for a service manual so I can try to figure out why the wipers are working the way they are. Ordered a new ac pressure transducer to try & get the ac working before replacing the bcm. Has anyone sent a bcm to be rebuilt & where. If so what was the turn around time. Also does anyone know if the bcm is malfunctioning will it ruin the new transducer I put on.

Manual? Check your local library. They often have Haynes or Chiltons manuals available. Alldata.com is a perscription service where you can download manuals for a fee. If you have a library card and your library subscibes to EBSCO you can get the ID code and password for the EBSCO site to get access to the ARRC data base. They have repair procedures, wiring diagrams, recall and TSBs for just about any car out there and it's all free.

Wipers? The BCM is powered at all times key on or off. The BCM turns the ground for the "Wipers On Relay" coil on and off. Apparently your zap has effected that somehow. You can disconnect the negative battery cable for 2-3 minutes to try to reset the BCM. Before changing the BCM I would disconnect the wiper switch in the steering column and see if the wipers start behaving. Before doing anything in that area disconnect the battery to keep the airbag from ruining your day.

No connection between the A/C transducer and the BCM.

Thanks for the reply RIP. I already tried disconnecting the battery for a few minutes & also pulled the 10 amp fuse marked iod per suggestions from previous searches, I"ll try disconnecting the wiper switch next. Also I was just looking at the work order from the dealer & they have on there that when they tap the relay the wipers stop, but the only charge on there is for the new wiper motor put in. I guess I'll get a new relay when I pick-up the transducer from autozone tommorow & try that also.

Well I replaced the ac transducer & that got the air working, now on to the wipers, Have to figure out why the wipers come on when I pull the iod fuse.
