Ok,
Its sad but its true that the air suspension is garbage. Who has changed out their are suspensions and to what brand? I am looking to do this
http://www.strutmasters.com/SearchResults.asp?Search=2004+Ford+Expedition
I wanted to know if anyone has used them and what are my alternatives to Quality parts? I've contacted many 4x4 shops that wont touch the truck but to do custom and by custom they mean shelling out more money than I already dont have.
This is an epidemic and I hope we can all get the information that we can use to resolve this issue. I read one blog that the suspension was changed out but the ride was bouncy. I tow thing and I can't afford bouncy. Someone please help.

someone asked and I wanted to share this experience of mine.
oh... i forgot ..
when mine was that high. we did take it to the dealership and they reconnected the rear right side..BUT they didn't disconnect the battery and reset the system..
I had a buddy who told me to disconnedt the battery and reconnnect the sensor.. if you give you cell number or email I can send pictures....
After all was said and done.. I drove it and it came down..
if it was down.. the sensor would be out .. if it is high the sensor is disconnected

The air suspension system on the Expeditions is simple. Know the parts involved, fuse, pump, relay, solenoids (2), air shocks (2), air bags (2) with solenoids (2), sensors (2) and air line's. Know what the part does. If your pump runs, but you cant air up, think about what needs to happen to get air where you need it, and what could possibly interupt that chain of events. Always start simple. Check for air leaks with a spray bottle of soap and water.
