From the brief description you offered, it sounds like a broken transmission, or engine mount.

i second that on tranny mount or moter mount p.a's are the same way.

thanks for the answers and from what I have read I believe it is the motor mount. Is it hard to change the motor mounts of a 2003 Buick Lesabre?
