Jacking point Rusted :(

When i was changing my springs on wednesday as i let down the car after doing the rear driverside spring the jacking point cracked and has split away :(
is there an easy fix?
and wot guage steelshould i use??

I'm sorry to say, but there is no fix that I know of other than find another point to jack it up from. I had a 86 civic that had the same problem, and I always jacked it up from a certain suspension part that my honda mechanic friend said was one of the best points left (thanks to rust) to jack it up from. If I had a camera I'd show you where.

if u know someone who can weld good, and i mean VERY good, buy a piece of 1/4 inch flat bar and get them 2 weld it on there for u, should help out

I got some Kyrlon flat black and spray the entire under area of the side of my car, the area where side skirts would go, so that that area didn't rust.

Okay, this is what my mechanic told me to do on my 88DX that had the same problem.... look under the front of the car, and jack it up on the TOW HOOKS!!!! that is plenty of strength right there cause those are real strong!! Now all u gotta do is get a hydraulic Jack, cause it will be hard to jack up the car that high.......
