Well guys, the day has finally come. its not logical for me to keep my 97 GTP anymore. we will be leasing a new car, most likely. I would like to ask for everyones opinions, though. right now my two options are between the 2011 Nissan Sentra SE-R. 177 HP, rockford fosgate audio, moonroof, upgraded suspension, and other features and a 2011 VW Jetta SE 2.5L manual, "premium" audio, and moonroof. Any opinions would be good

Id go with the Nissan. VW has "cheapened" the Jetta a little too much for my liking.

thats what people keep saying, but when i test drove it, it felt very solid. and keep in mind im only leasing them for 3 years, so long term quality isnt exactly an issue. i went in expecting the Jetta to be garbage, but it was surprisingly nice for the price. thanks for the input, either way

I meant more along the lines of interior look and feel.
Maybe I'm conceited, or just a little weird, but if I don't like the interior of a car, I'm not going to settle for it. Thats part of the reason I ended up with an 07 rather than a 97-03. The 97-03 GP interior has so much 80's look to it its ridiculous.
In the end its your decision. I'd pick the Nissan over the VW any day.

ya i actually was trying to find a low mile 04+ but i couldnt afford any. but by any chance have you been in a sentra? in my opinion, it felt much cheaper than the sentra. it had many similarities of other cheap cars. provided you have the opportunity, i urge you to look at another upper scale jetta with the "leatherette" interior. it just felt more thoughtfully designed and a little classier. compared to the older models of the jettas, they gone down in quality. either way, again thanks for the input! also, your lucky to get a 04+. im jealous. i was looking at one with the leather seats and with the special edition body package but it was just out of my price range
