Well, I have the typical ABS/wheel speed sensor problem. Unfortunately I broke the driver side sensor after cleaning the mounting surface and trying to replace it. I ordered a new one from Rockauto.com and the new sensor is too big and does not fit in the hub!:banghead: Are there different size sensors for different models? I have an '05 standard cab 2WD 4.3L 5 speed manual. Any suggestions?

Update...the new sensor doesn't fit because part of the old sensor is still in the bore.:banghead: This happened on both sides....not so easy to pull out.:headshake

exactly what happens here...................................

the gm cheap crapo sensor with cheapo soft plastic breaks off... you must use lots of care and penitrating oil ...not wd-40 ...then after a few hours of soaking rotate back and forth to extract the sensor..

the soft plastic is easy to remove from the bore ..use a small drill bit and drill out the piece.. then use a magnet pick up tool to remove any metal droped into the bore..

when you install the new sensor measure the voltage when rotating the hub..should be 350mv AC or more...also the hub grease must be blue..if it is red this means the hub is defective/rusted and must be replaced..

with these issues resolved then coat the exterior of the sensor and hub area with a rust proofing sealant so the sensor will not get pushed out again..
