Cracked VSS?

Hey everyone,
I'm brand new to the forum. I had my VSS replaced a year ago but I am having speedo problems again. I've been told that the housing? is cracked. I didn't think there was housing for it. Anyways, does anyone know what the mechanic was talking about? I know the VSS is under the thermostat housing and everything is normal there :rolleyes:. I've seen several threads about replacing the VSS but I still can't seem to find an answer.

Whoops, forgot to mention a minor detail... my car is a '91 Accord LX.

If your cruise control works, this is not your VSS. This might be your bad dash circuit board.
